I had no prior experience, now I can’t t only build small programs, but also have a much better idea of what I’ll learn next. This is a great way to get into programming!

The course gives good explanations and allows you to progress at your own speed. I am 70 years old and not your typical young coder but I feel like the course is well organized and able to lead anyone into the land of Python. Thank you!

When I started this course, I thought I was playing with snakes or having a bake off (Pie Thon)(sorry, my Python humor). I took the course because I work with a very strong analytics platform that is written in Python language, and quite honestly, I wanted to be able to start understanding how, why, and what the system could do. I have never done any coding in my life, but by the end of this course, I was actually able to have a reasonably intelligent conversation with my engineer on some of the things that I needed my machine to do. It was because, each step in this course really broke down what the “machine” was doing with the language that was being placed in. While my engineer is far from in danger for his position, it is nice to know what and why he is doing things and quite frankly, to be able to move towards joining him in writing some of this code as well as challenging thoughts, to make things better. Oh, and one last thing, Erik was extremely responsive, answered the questions (without calling me an idiot, well at least not in his reply emails), and for that, I am truly a fan. I have already purchased the next course, Python Fundamentals, so thank you, and good luck to all.

I am almost halfway through this course and I’m really enjoying it! I’ve done a small amount of micropython before but that was never learning – it was putting other people’s code together. I ended up deciding that I wanted to properly learn python, and this course is great for that. It’s well written and easy to understand. It did take about 30 mins to get used to the layout but after that I’ve had no issues! I’m looking forward to the rest of this course.

As I am not a python expert, and this was my first foray into this realm, I can’t rate this against other courses or experiences. However, I found the exercises easy to follow and the content easy to follow. Once I review the material a second time, I will most likely purchase the second coarse. I did not rate this five starts as I never give anything five stars. Five stars implies there is no room for improvement, and there is always room for improvement.

Very well structured course for beginners in programming, I highly recommend it. I wish I had more time to dedicate on it.

I am so new in programming I need chatGPT to help me understand some of the topics and find the mistakes I make. ( I am not going to disturb Erik for every indentation mistake I make 🙂 )
I really enjoy the course, I highly recommend it, just keep in mind, if your programming understanding is really low (as mine is / was ), you may need a coach.

I am new to Python, in fact to programming in general, and this course is really clear and straightforward to follow as it builds concepts and understanding. In my opinion 100% worth it for those who want to learn Python from the beginning.

So far, so good! Love the step-by-step, concept-by-concept approach. And the quizzes give me a sense that I am, in fact, learning.

Completed the course and loved every minute. There are so very many tips provided to help transform the beginner code into something that might be worth saving. I will definitely continue to the Python II course. I even helped Eric identify a website bug that stopped the course from going forward. He fixed in very quickly and I was able to complete the course with no further problems. Thanks, Eric!
