I'm very interested in using your DirectPython to
access DirectX features. Unfortunately, I've stumbled
at the gate...

After installing (default locations and in this order)
Python 2.5, directx9c, and DirectPython (for Python
2.5), I then try to run "sampleBasic.py" and receive
this message:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File
"C:\Python25\Lib\site-packages\directpy\samples\sampleBasic.py",
line 18, in <module>
import d3d
ImportError: DLL load failed: The specified module
could not be found.
>>>

It seems like a simple thing but, I can't tell why it's
having fits. Had Python 2.4 on here before but,
uninstalled it and all packages (PIL, Psyco, ...)
before installing the new stuff. Checked the directx
diagnostic program, and all systems go. I don't know
what other info would be helpful. My apologies if I'm
being a bone-head.

Thanks.
fixed in 0.5.0. However, the fix introduced a new one.

The latest version has a new variant that will crash
the whole application. It has been fixed for the next
realease and the simplest workaround is not to use
cache at all (set the cache boolean in the objects
constructor to False).

Disabling cache will make your application slightly
slower and more memory intensive, but the difference
should not be critical. You can enable the cache when
the fixed version is out.

d3d.font fails

I get some errors from sampleBasic.py..
